The Western Wisconsin Stars advanced to tonights Section Semifinal game by defeating Coulee Region 3 - 0 last Thursday. Tonight, the Stars will take on Eau Claire Area for a chance to advance to the section finals. Game time is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. If you are attending the game, the gates will open at 7:30. Parking could be difficult as the Somerset Boys will be playing at 5:30 in Somerset. We encourage those attending to come to the Somerset Arena between 7:45 and 8:00, so the parking lot can clear out some.

The Stars begin their playoff push to Madison tonight!!!! The #2 seed, Western Wisconsin Stars will begin their push for a state tournament birth when they host #7 seed Coulee Region. The game time is 8:00 p.m. and the doors will open for the girls game at 7:30.

The Stars travel to Superior today for there last reglar season game before playoffs. The JV game will be at 5:30 and the varsity will follow at 7:30.

SENIOR NIGHT!!! Come and celebrate our seniors as they play their last regular season home game of their hockey careers. The Stars will be taking on the Hudson Raiders. JV will start at 5:00 and the Senior Ceremony will start following Varsity warm ups. The Varsity game should start at 7:00.

OUTDOOR HOCKEY IN JANUARY!!!!! The Stars will be hosting the Hopkins/St. Louis Park Royals today at the River Valley Outdoor Rink in St. Croix Falls. Dress warm! The JV game will start at noon, the Varsity game will start at 3:00.

The Stars finally return home tonight after six straight road games. Tonight the Stars are facing a section opponent in Coulee Region. The game has major implications for section seedings. The JV game will start at 5:00 tonight, followed by the Varsity at 7:00.

The Stars return to conference play after playing in the Farmington, MN Holiday Tournament and traveling to play WI Union and the Central WI Storm. Tonight the Stars face off against Hudson in their first meeting of the season. Last season, the Stars knocked the Raiders out of the playoffs with a 4-3 four overtime playoff thriller. JV game will start at 5:00 and the Varsity will follow at 7:00.

For the last day of the Farmington Holiday Tournament, the Stars will face another unfamiliar opponent in the Owatonna Huskies. Game time is set for 3:15.

The Stars JV completes Holiday Tournament play by taking on the New Prague Trojans at Ames Arena. Game time is 10:00 a.m.

The Stars continue their play in the 20th Annual Louis Schmitz Holiday Classic, by taking on the host team, the Farmington Tigers.

NOTE: GAME TIME HAS CHANGED - It is correct on here now. The Stars are taking on the Raiders from Northfield in the 20th Annual Louis Schmitz Holiday Classic, in Farmington, MN. The game will be played at Schmitz-Maki Arena. Northfield has participated in the last two class “AA” Minnesota State Hockey Tournament.

The Stars JV will begin Holiday Tournament play against Northfield at Ames Arena in Lakeville. Game time is 10:00 a.m.

The Western Wisconsin Stars JV will travel to Inver Grove Heights to play the Simley Spartans JV. Game time is 2:00.

This Friday, the Stars will be taking on The Blake School Bears. JV begins at 5:00 and the Varsity will follow with a 7:00 game .

Tonight, the Stars will be hosting the Eastview Lightning. The JV game will begin at 5:00 and the Varsity will be at 7:00.

At home in Somerset tonight to face the defending conference and section champions, the St. Croix Fusion. JV will start at 5:00 and the Varsity game will be at 7:00.

The Western Wisconsin Stars open Big Rivers Conference play tonight against Chippewa Falls/Menomonie. This game will be played at the New Richmond Ice Arena. There is no JV game prior to the varsity game this evening.

The Stars will take on the Tigers from Black River Falls in Baldwin at the United Center at 3:00. The JV will be played at 1:00.

The Stars will face off against last years WIAA Runners-Up in Baldwin at the United Civic Center at 1:30 with the JV following at 3:00.
